Ok so Dubai may never compete with the likes of Germany for amazing Christmas markets, however, it can try at least! There are a few cropping up around the place this year. And a new addition to the scene is the Al Habtoor City Hotels Christmas Markets. Where all three hotels, (The St. Regis Dubai, W Dubai – Al Habtoor City and The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City) will provide the food and drinks on the St. Regis gardens. Here are 5 reasons why it looks like it’s worth a visit

1. It’s complimentary entry from 7 December until 31 December 2016

Timings: Weekdays from 17.00 – 21.00; Weekends from 15:00 – 21.00. For more information, check out their website. There will also be retailers there so a good spot to pick up some Christmas gifts. 

2. Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place on Wednesday 7 December at 17.00

3. Santa will arrive in a Bentley every day!

4. They will be serving Glühwein! 

Ok, so it’s not freezing, but the temperature does drop and what says Christmas Marketing better than glühwein

5. There will be a Santa’s Grotto in the shape of a traditional ginger bread house…

…complete with reindeer and sleigh decorations, a white Christmas stage with a variety of entertainment acts, a special snow fight zone with LED trees and lit up animals, giant snowman, snow globe, kid’s train, merry-go-round, Christmas cookie decorating and face painting stations.
