Unexpected Road Closure Causes Chaos Across Dubai This Afternoon
As if the fog this morning didn’t cause enough traffic delays, unexpected road closure has caused chaos on the roads of Dubai. Dubai Media office listed the roads that were to be closed, no real reason was given.
At 2pm, Dubai Media Office updated their twitter account that roads are back to normal. Hopefully this evening won’t be any worse than normal.
Various roads around Dubai were closed from 11am to 12pm today,
Roads from Al Shandagha Tunnel roundabout to Al Kahleej Rd to Al Saqr roundabout to Al Mina intersection will be closed in the next hour

Drivers are kindly requested to use alternative roads during the closing time in the next hour #Dubai

…however the closure was extended and this caused increased backlogs
