A fire erupted this morning in a building that is under construction on Sheikh Zayed Road. According to a spokesman for Dubai Civil Defence, the workers at the site were safely and efficiently evacuated and no injuries have been reported.
Fire units from UAE Martyrs and Al Barsha stations contributed to putting the fire out, which took approximately 40 minutes.
Traffic on the Sheikh Zayed Road has since returned to normal.
“It was a small blaze. The call came in at 11.33am on Monday morning, and the fire was put out by 12.14pm. The fire erupted in the insulation material on the roof of the building.”
