A Resident Spotted A Snake Along A Beach In Dubai

Mayar Ibrahim

On September 30, while enjoying the calmness of Dubai’s night beaches a resident spotted a snake slithering along the sand. In the UAE, snakes are a part of the local wildlife, with various species found in the desert regions. Most snakes in the UAE are not venomous and aren’t a threat to humans, it’s still important to exercise caution.

Faraz Khan Lohani, @iamfarazkhanlohani, spotted a snake and shared two videos of it on his socials

He believes the snake is a Bandy-Bandy snake. Furthermore, he stated that he attempted to remove the snake from the area. Despite government advice to not touch any snake by the beach, he did so in order to keep the swimmers and beach-goers safe.

Authorities urge beach-goers and the public to maintain caution and not touch any wild creatures. If you spot a snake or any animal in public places, please call 800900.
