Mohammed Abdullah Al Hammad, an Emirati Footballer who played as a defender for the first team of Al Dhafra football club died in a traffic accident this morning.
The 23-year-old moved to the AL Dhafra FC from Al Jazira football club, both being a part of the UAE Arabian Gulf League.
An official from the club spoke to Khaleej Times about the incident, “it was a traffic accident. It was on Friday. Everyone at the club is deeply saddened and shocked by the loss.”

“Al-Dhafra player currently and Al-Jazira previously, Mohammed Abdullah Al-Hammadi, died of a painful accident this morning.”
Members of the Al Jazira club also paid their tribute to Al Hammadi, “It is painful news. We offer our condolences to the family of our former player.”
