Abu Dhabi Removes 6 Countries From The Green List Including USA And Israel
Abu Dhabi has removed the following 6 countries from the green list starting tomorrow Wednesday, August 18.
- Armenia
- Austria
- Israel
- Italy
- Maldives
- The USA
So this means passengers entering the capital from the aforementioned countries will need to wear a tracker wristband.
- For vaccinated travellers: They’ll have to take a PCR test on arrival, quarantine for 7 days and take a PCR test on the 6th day.
- For unvaccinated travellers: They’ll have to take a PCR test on arrival, quarantine for 10 days and take a PCR test on the 9th day.
Thus far, only those vaccinated 28 days before the travel, with results showing on the Al Hosn app will qualify as ‘vaccinated’.
Etihad further announced that starting from August 20, vaccinations taken outside the UAE will also be permitted – including Sinopharm, Sinovac, Janssen, Pfizer, Sputnik V, Oxford-AstraZeneca and Moderna.
Vaccinated passengers entering Abu Dhabi from a green list country will NOT be required to quarantine whatsoever
However, non-vaccinated passengers arriving from a green list country will still be required to quarantine for 10 days.
Abu Dhabi’s green list now only consists of the following 28 countries as of Tuesday, August 17:
- Albania
- Australia
- Bahrain
- Belgium
- Brunei
- Bulgaria
- Canada
- China
- Czech Republic
- Germany
- Hong Kong
- Hungary
- Malta
- Mauritius
- Moldova
- New Zealand
- Poland
- Republic of Ireland
- Romania
- Saudi Arabia
- Serbia
- Seychelles
- Singapore
- South Korea
- Sweden
- Switzerland
- Taiwan
- Ukraine
If you’re travelling from any of these green list countries, you must take a PCR test on arrival as well as on the 6th day and won’t be required to quarantine.
