An Editor From Gulf News Has Been Detained By Dubai Police In Relation To The Death Of His Wife

A British journalist from Gulf News has been detained by Dubai Police after his wife was found dead in their Jumeirah home last Tuesday – July 3, it has been reported. 

News reports state that editor-at-large Francis Matthew, 60 is currently with Dubai Police being interviewed regarding the incident.

Gulf News shared the story of the woman, Jane, being found dead at their home, and editor-in-chief at Gulf News, Abdul Hamid Ahmad made a statement: 

“It is with great sadness that we announce that Jane was found dead on Tuesday night. We share the family’s grief and pray to the Almighty to give them the strength and patience to overcome this very difficult situation.

“Both Francis and Jane have been part of society for nearly 30 years and were very active members of the British expatriate community. We request that the family be given the privacy they need to cope with the loss.”
