A Bur Dubai travel agency is under fire from residents and authorities after refusing to honour travel membership agreements.

Dubai’s Department of Economic Development (DED) is currently investigating Arabian Times Travel & Tourism LLC (Arabian TTT) after several complaints were lodged by unhappy residents.

The travel company had contracts with customers for discounts holiday deals which it failed to see through, according to local reports.

Residents want their money back

Residents who had paid several thousand dirhams in memberships are demanding their money back and have been chasing the company since November 2017.

They paid between AED4,000 and AED40,000 for memberships that were promised to last ten years and offer luxury hotel travel deals. Residents who signed up have not been able to claim a single benefit, according to a Khaleej Times report.

35 complaints have been lodged and the DED are investigating the case.
