A student from Cambridge High School in Abu Dhabi scored 5 A grades in the recent A level exams.
Nidhi Kumar from India will use the fantastic results to continue her studies in Canada at Waterloo University according to a report in Gulf News.
Her score also gives her the Gems UAE topper title. An annual award from Gems, an international education company with 45 branches across the UAE, for the region’s top result within the school system.
Over 3,500 students took the A level examinations in the UAE this year, an 11% increase from last year. Other students achieved three and four A grades however so far, Nidhi is the only reported student to gain five A*s.
Her subjects were maths, physics, chemistry, biology and English literature and she will go on to study Mathematics.
