MORE Talks Of An Uber Careem Takeover: It Could Really Be Happening
Rumours have been swirling FOR MONTHS regarding an Uber takeover of Careem.
Currently the ride-hailing platforms are rivals in the region; Careem, the huge Dubai success story which has grown to over 100 cities in the MENA and South Asian region and Uber the international ride-sharing app of choice, with a stronghold in 785 cities worldwide.
Now, could Uber be serious about taking over Careem? According to international reports, it is. $2 billion to $2.5 billion serious.
No decisions have been made
No formal decisions have been made between Uber Technologies Inc and Careem Networks FZ, neither company has made a comment and it’s not definite whether a deal will go ahead.
