Uber and Careem prices have skyrocketed due to the rain, while many are stuck in traffic and others outright unable to hail taxis.
The city has encountered chaos, with RTA taxis not stopping for rides, and many stranded in the rain.
Uber and Careem surge pricing has reached double and triple figures, with demand peaking.
A basic ride from JLT to Dubai Marina Mall is pricing at AED85-100 on Uber, and AED50-60 on Careem (normally around AED20) for a standard ride.
So, other than the whole school panic situations that happens in Dubai each time it rains, @uber and @CareemUAE hike their prices 3X! ???? #DubaiRain
