In a bittersweet story, Chris Evans has been making headlines for his sweet gesture for a brave 6-year-old boy, Bridger Walker, who shielded his baby sister from a charging dog attack earlier this month. The 1-year-old German shepherd bit the child resulting in him having 90 stitches.

After the horrific incident took place back on July 9, Bridger’s aunt, Nicole Walker posted her nephew’s courageous story on her Instagram along with close-ups of the child’s tragic wounds and wrote,

“We love our brave boy and want all the other superheroes to know about this latest hero who joined their ranks.”

Along with the detailed caption, Walker tagged Chris Evans, Tom Holland, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Pratt, Tom Hiddleston, Chadwick Boseman and Vin Diesel.

She also quoted what Bridger told his dad after his surgery, “If someone had to die, I thought it should be me,” which won the hearts of thousands of social media users, praying for Bridger’s quick recovery and praising him for his bravery.

The ‘Avengers’ star took notice of Bridger’s pure bravery and sent a video message to the young hero:

“You’re a hero, what you did was so brave, so selfless, your sister is so lucky to have you as a big brother,”

Actor Chris Evans can be heard telling the heroic boy who saved his 4-year-old sister from the mauling.

“You’re a hero, what you did was so brave. So selfless. Your sister is so lucky to have you as a big brother. Your parents must be so proud of you” – With that Evans promised to send the boy the official Captain America shield used by the superhero himself

Saluting the little superhero Evans added, “keep being the man you are. We need people like you. Hang in there, I know recovery might be tough, but based on what I’ve seen, I don’t think there’s much that can slow you down.”

Chris Evans heartwarming message and thoughtful gesture has left Dubai peeps in awe of the actor

Chivalry is not DEAD, both Evans and Bridger are living proof of that!!

Upon learning of the incident, when the owners of the dog decided to euthanise the young German shepherd, Bridger told his dad that he didn’t want anything bad to happen to the dog

The family has asked that people “forego any superficial judgements of the dog owners — because we love them” and have redirected all donations to various charitable organisations.

Bridger, you are a heroic young man and Lovin Dubai is proud to share your chivalrous story!
