This weekend, the news broke that UAE National Day would be celebrated on Sunday and Monday December 2 and 3, giving residents a four day long weekend.
And now it’s been announced Commemoration Day will be observed on Thursday, November 29.
A UAE flag will be raised and a minute of silence will be held at 11.30am to honour Emiratis who died in the name of the country.
Government authorities took the decision to observe the day on Thursday, November 29, instead of Friday, November 30. It’s unclear whether a public holiday will be announced on this day.
