Dubai Police have arrested men in possession of fake watches, phones and accessories worth a whopping AED33 MILLION.
The recent raid, of a warehouse in Ras al Khor, revealed that an Asian man had stored 98,000 fake luxury watches worth AED23 million as part of the stash.
Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, Brig Salem Al Rumaithi, said they were tipped off about the storage of fake watches in the warehouse.
The items were confiscated and the owner has been sent to Dubai Public Prosecution.
These items were found in a villa in Al Hamriya.
Traders and shop owners are advised to not sell fake items. Director of anti-economic crimes department, Col Omar Bin Hammed said that the police are executing regular raids to stop the counterfeit business.
