Although we have already established this a couple of times, it bears repeating that people in Dubai are ridiculously generous…you only have to look around you.
One such tale of generosity from a Dubai-based Irish couple, who showered gifts to their Filipino domestic help which includes a brand new house and full payment of her driving lessons, is winning hearts everywhere.
April Rose Marcelino Gatin has been working for her Irish employers- Henry and Elaine Horan for about 11 years now.
She was not only gifted a house (including the land) by the Horan family, but the couple also paid for her driving lessons as well her travel expenses for when she flies back to her home country along with her cousin.
What’s incredible is that their generosity doesn’t end here…Â
According to The Filipino Times, the couple went above and beyond to help April’s father who was suffering from mental health problems.Â
Her father was an expat himself in Saudi Arabia when his health started deteriorating. The Horans helped April take care of her father and getting him back to good health.
The couple first came in contact with April back in 2006 when they were living in Brunei. The family moved to Dubai in 2009 and got April to the Emirate as their domestic help.
Clearly, not all hero wear capes.Â
