The course records on both the men’s and women’s races for the Dubai Marathon have been broken today, with two Ethiopian athletes taking out the gold.
Mosinet Geremew ran the men’s 42k in 2.04.00, breaking the record by seven seconds. The record was set last year by Tamirat Tola.
Four women broke the women’s record, in less than two hours, 20 minutes – with Roza Dereje taking out first place with a time of 2.19.17.
