On Wednesday, May 24, Dubai Police apprehended a group of Israeli nationals in connection with the murder of another Israeli citizen in central Dubai.

Dubai Media Office took to Twitter to announce the arrest, stating, “Dubai Police said it has arrested a number of Israeli nationals after they assaulted and caused the death of another Israeli national.” The arrested individuals will be handed over to the Dubai Public Prosecution to initiate further legal proceedings.

Israel’s foreign ministry spokesperson confirmed the tragic incident to AFP, stating that a 30-year-old Israeli citizen had been fatally stabbed. The spokesperson further revealed that the local authorities in Dubai were currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the case.

The victim, identified as Rassan Shamsia, 32, was named in Israeli media reports

The Times of Israel also confirmed that the Israeli Foreign Ministry was collaborating with the local authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the murder.
