Dubai Police are always at the forefront of technology.

From their incredible fleet, the jetpacks and most recently the Robocops that are now patrolling Dubai Malls and venues, the police force are continuously breaking ground and supporting the government’s commitment to becoming one of the world’s smartest cities. 

And earlier today we heard the police have designed a drone that will defuse bombs. Needed? We’re not sure, but we would like to see a test video of these in action.

The drone can detonate bombs, break glass and comes with equipped with a camera and water gun

Abdullah Khalifa Al Marr, Commander-in-chief Major General of the Dubai Police said the device has been tested and it’s purpose is to detonate bombs when a rapid intervention is needed. 

The camera allows experts to defuse bombs remotely and the water-gun can be used to shoot the bomb as part of the defusal.
