Dubai Takes Another Step Towards Becoming The World’s Most Sustainable City With Its Latest Pond Park Project

Avatar

Dubai wants to be the most sustainable city in the world by 2050 and it is definitely taking steps in the right direction.

Very soon residents will be able to visit Pond Park, an AED 21m project, in Khawaneej-1. What’s great about this place? It is classified as a sustainable park with zero energy as all its electricity needs will be sorted with solar energy. Also the 1.5 hectares area includes a pond which will be used to collect rainwater in addition to a main park area and adults play area. Parents don’t need to worry about their little ones as a fence has been installed on the perimeter of the pond to protect children.

Some of the other features of the park are its two play areas with rubberised flooring, a football court with artificial grass, wooden benches and umbrellas as well as bushes, grass areas and seasonal flowers.
