In just four hours this morning, a whopping 2,566 emergency calls were recorded, and 147 traffic accidents reported, according to Dubai Police.
Between 6-10am on Dubai roads, motorists encountered dozens of accidents, due to the wet weather and unsafe driving.
Acting director of Command and Control Centre at Dubai Police, Colonel Muhammed Al Muhairi said motorists need to maintain proper distances between vehicles, and manage speeds in unstable weather.
He said: “Allow extra time for your journey and check your planned route. It’s also advisable to slow down as rain makes roads slippery,” he added.
