Turkey is currently battling horrific wildfires that have been ongoing since Wednesday, July 25. Fires have been reported to have erupted in 32 provinces since Wednesday and Bodrum resort has been cited as one of the worst-affected areas in Turkey.
The cause of the fire has given way to heavy conjecture: whilst experts have recognized global warming and climate change as a source of the blaze, on the other hand, Turkish authorities are investigating arson (possibly caused by outlawed Kurdish militants) or children. However, no official statement has been released on the same.
Forestry Minister Bekir Pakdemirli promised to hold those responsible for starting the fire accountable for the extensive damages and the loss of innocent lives.
Manifold prayers are being sent to the country and its residents.

The tragic fires have also left 8 dead and forced tourists to flee from hotels and resorts with little to no belongings.

The European Union (EU), have sent aid and are helping Turkey battle the blaze.
Wildfires during this time of the year are common in such regions, especially in southern Turkey… however, the latest fires have been said to cover an unusually large area.
