Deaths On Dubai Roads Have Dropped By A Massive 26 Percent Already This Year

Avatar

General Mohammed Saif Al Zafeen, assistant commander-in-chief of the Dubai Police for Operations Affairs reported a noticeable drop in fatalities on Dubai roads already this year.

Until now, 48 deaths have been recorded on the roads, while last year 65 were recorded in the same period, that’s a drop of 26%.

Awareness campaigns and initiatives by the government to promote safe driving…

An emphasis on safe driving and new initiatives from the government to reward safe drivers can be attributed to the decrease in numbers. The police want to further promote safe driving through traffic control, radars and nifty traffic cameras like these ones.

Drivers will see increased fines from July this year

So expect to have to fork out a little bit more, possible vehicle confiscation and black points to your license if you’re caught breaking the rules of the road.
