Speed limits can vary on Dubai roads, from 40km to 120km, with 20km increases in limits almost going on noticed.
Many motorists are confused what part of the roads are under which speeding limits.
The help with this problem, the RTA are now going coloring the asphalt parts to mark when the speed limit changes.
“The experiment was carried out at a certain location on Oud Metha Street, near Bu Kadrah Interchange along the Dubai-Al Ain Street. The process involved colouring all lanes in an eye-catching style to alert road users of the new speed limit”.

Asphalt coloring would be implemented in phases at locations subject to speed change in other vital roads in #Dubai in a gradual timeframe.
