Ok, so everyone already knows that when it comes to forward-thinking and all things futuristic, Dubai is leading the rest of the world (after all, Star Trek was just filmed here). Well, Dubai is getting even more sci-fi-esque: A Dubai Police official has stated that, in time for Expo 2020, ROBOTS and artificial intelligence will be carrying out on-the-ground police tasks. 

What these tasks will be exactly is still up for debate but could potentially be anything from speeding fines to jay-walking. 

“The project we are working on will involve robots interacting with people and performing some responsibilities that of a police officer,”
