A Dubai GEMS School Is Closed For Two Days After A Suspected Spread Of Viral Infection

A primary school in Dubai has closed temporarily due to the suspected spread of a viral infection.

Parents of students at Kindergarten Starters, a Gems Education school in Al Garhoud have been informed that the school will shut on April 10 and April 11… This follows a viral infection affecting over 20 students, according to local reports.

The relevant authorities will carry out a deep-clean at the school as a precaution after children fell ill with fever and vomiting.

Government authorities visited the school to assess the situation

In a statement, GEMS Education reiterated to parents that if your child complains of feeling unwell, you are advised to consult a doctor.

Teachers were asked to wear masks on Tuesday, the school will be shut for a deep-clean by an external company on Wednesday and Thursday and classes at the school will resume on Sunday, April 14.
