Residents have so much pride for this every-changing city, and it’s certainly not baseless.

Dubai was pitted against every other city in the world (*a city must have a population of more than one million), in a survey by Resonance Consultancy. The report looked at a combo of ‘performance and qualitative evaluations by locals and visitors in 24 areas grouped into six key categories’ and is dubbed the “the most comprehensive study of its kind” by Bloomberg.

Developed to put a benchmark on the quality and reputation of the world’s dominant cities along with desirability for locals, London came out on top and beautiful Dubai came in a highly-respectable 9th place.
