Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has charted an ambitious course for the city’s marine transport system. Hold on to your life vests because they’ve got exciting news about electric 3D-printed abras that are all set to join the traditional fleet.
Dubai RTA is taking maritime innovation to the next level with 3D printing. They’re crafting 3D-printed electric abras that will transport you in style. These futuristic boats, designed to carry 20 passengers, blend aesthetics and heritage cues, making them a blend of old and new that’s simply abra-mazing.

The plan not only aims to increase marine transport users by 51% but also extends the length of the network from 55 km to 158 km. More stations, more lines, and even more vessels are part of the plot. We’re talking about 79 stations dotted along Dubai Creek, Dubai Water Canal, the Arabian Gulf coastline, and various waterfront projects.
