Following a tweet from the UAE Government which confirmed a full week break for the public sector, it’s just been announced the private sector will have four days holiday for Eid Al Fitr.
According to The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, holidays will begin on Monday, June 3 and the end date will still depend on the moon-sighting, meaning it could end on either Thursday, June 6 or Friday, June 7.
A moon-sighting committee will meet to confirm the start day of Eid.
It was announced both sectors would enjoy 14 days holiday this year. However in this case, the public sector will enjoy a five day break, and it looks like the private sector break will be one day less.
