An eight-year-old girl was killed on Monday in Sharjah due to a hit-and-run incident. 

The girl was struck in the Al Sabkha area on Monday at around 4pm and the driver fleed the scene.

 Emergency crews were called to the site.

The Sharjah Police traced the driver, a man in his 30s, three hours after the event, and referred him to the Al Wasit Police Station.
