Remember the hero who helped a woman go into labour safely at DXB Airport’s Terminal 2- just months ago?

Well, according to The Khaleej Times, she has now been promoted to a higher rank by Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.

To help give you a recap, Emirati cop Corporal Hanan Hussein Mohammed, who worked as an inspector at the Dubai Airport at the time helped an Indian woman go into labour and successfully deliver her child in the inspection room of the airport.

Now that’s some quick thinking and action!

She not only helped with the delivery but performed CPR on the infant soon after birth

A hero.

Corporal Hanan Mohammed swung into action and took control of the situation by aiding the woman’s delivery, but also performed cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the infant after she saw the baby was not breathing.

Hanan also ensured their full safety by making sure that the mother and her baby are taken in an ambulance on time to Latifa hospital.

The way she responded to this matter did not go unnoticed, since Brigadier Ali Atiq Bin Lahej, director of the General Department of Airport Security at Dubai Police, honored her quick thinking and bravado that saved the woman and her baby’s life.

Well-deserved!
