An Emirati woman, who saved a man suffering from heart attack in the middle of the road, has been honoured for her actions.
The quick-thinking young woman, Hind Ali Al Thaheri, was driving home from her workplace in Dubai, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, when she saw a man passed out on Ajman’s Wasit Road.
The man, an African national, was lying in the middle of the road with two other people standing next to him.
She immediately stopped her vehicle and rushed to help him whose eyes had rolled up in his head.
She quickly jumped to action and called the emergency line 998.
Based on the instructions given to her by a paramedic, she was able to revive the man using timed chest compressions for three minutes. The worker regained consciousness and was able to breathe, all thanks her timely actions.
As per Ittihad report, the woman had studied first-aid procedures and knew it was a life and death situation.
The doctors lauded the Emirati woman for saving the man’s life.
