The UAE Is Being Commended For Assisting In The Evacuation Of 20,000+ Foreigners From Afghanistan
From the US President Joe Biden to Peeni Henare, Minister of Defence of New Zealand and French foreign ministers, gratitude has been pouring in from leaders across the world for the UAE’s impressive efforts in helping evacuate diplomats and foreigners from Afghanistan.

About 8,500 foreign nationals have utilized UAE aircraft and airports to flee from Afghanistan since the beginning of August when the Taliban besieged the capital
Evacuations have been facilitated for 12,022 nationals and diplomats from the UK, USA, France, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Latvia, Spain and Mexico.
“Up to today, the UAE has facilitated the evacuation of 20,522 people from Afghanistan”, confirmed Afra Al Hameli, Deputy Director of Strategic Communications at the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation.
