Last night a huge fire erupted from within a petrochemical factory located in Umm al Quwain's industrial area.
No reasons have been identified as to why the fire has started but an investigation is currently ongoing.
Within minutes of the fire breaking out, traffic police, ambulances, paramedics, rescue teams and various civil defence forces rushed to the scene as they began to put out the fire and initiate cooling operations.
The situation is under control
No injuries have been reported from the incident as the acting director of Umm Al Quwain's Civil Defence, Khamis Bu Lasali, stated that the situation was under control.
The director general, General Jassim Al Mazrouqi, was also present on the scene and added that despite the financial damage the factory will endure, the blaze is under control as well as no one was hurt.
