A field hospital set up at Dubai World Trade Centre to cope with an increasing number of COVID-19 patients has closed its doors after celebrating the full recovery of its final patient.

The Dubai Field Hospital, set up within the Dubai World Trade Centre, discharged its FINAL COVID-19 patient after tests results confirmed his full recovery from the disease.

Japanese resident Hiroaki Fujita spent two weeks in the hospital, he praised the efforts of the staff which helped him recover quickly

The hospital treated 1,269 patients since it opened in April

Since opening on April 17, a total of 1,269 patients were treated and cared for by a medical team that included 279 doctors, nurses, pharmacists and technicians, in addition to 200 volunteers.

We’re seeing the phased reopening of Dubai’s sectors, including business, tourism and air travel progress smoothly and the full recovery of all patients admitted to the Dubai Field Hospital reflects the progress the emirate has achieved in curbing the spread of the virus, according to Dubai Media Office.
