Those Attending NYE Gatherings Exceeding 30 Guests Will Be Subject To Fines Of Over AED 15000

Time to ring in the NYE celebrations… in the safest way possible!

No one wants to start 2021 by getting fined AED15,000+ on NYE so read up on the latest COVID-19 updates to safeguard yourself a hasslefree New Year’s Eve!

Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management has clarified that private family and social New Year’s Eve gatherings of more than 30 people is prohibited in the emirate. 

Attendees violating partying rules and attending gatherings exceeding 30 people will be imposed with an AED15,000 fine, whereas hosts of the parties will be fined AED50,000 right away

Violators will face legal action and fines

As mentioned by the committee, further adding that inspections will be conducted to ensure compliance with COVID safety measures.

Parties will be required to follow social distancing with the rule being one person per four square metres of space.

Other guidelines clarify that:

  • Attendees must wear face masks at all times
  • The elderly and those with chronic conditions should refrain from attending gatherings
  • Any person experiencing symptoms such as coughing or fever should be advised not to attend these events

Also, note that the Dubai Health Authority, (DHA) is providing the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccination to residents FREE of cost
