You know that Tom and Jerry moment where Tom literally floats into the clouds after hearing the most beautiful sound of his life? The kind of melody that hits you straight in the soul?
Yeah… that’s the energy in the studio when the Lovin’ Dubai Show welcomed a very special guest – a voice you already know and love, thanks to The Voice Middle East.
Now, fresh off the show, Isiako sat down to talk about what went behind the scenes, how Dubai shaped his journey, and why he believes everything unfolded exactly the way it was meant to.
Getting onto The Voice wasn’t a quick win. Isiako went through nearly two and a half months of auditions, paperwork, background checks, and music selection. Every detail mattered.
From reviewing years of his personal history to analysing social media and performance style, the process was intense. While this was his first time competing on a show of this scale, it wasn’t his first time performing. He’d already worked in theatre, musicals, and television, but The Voice was a whole new level.
But it was all worth it when singer and icon Nassif Zeytoun said,
That was all it took.
Beyond the cameras, the bond only grew stronger. Isiako connected deeply with Nassif’s emotional approach and work ethic, seeing reflections of himself in the way his coach leads with heart.
Even when grief and pressure hung over his head, he pushed through and performed. Not for the cameras, but out of responsibility to the people sharing the stage with him and the love he has for music.
Music, for him, isn’t just another career to add on the list.
This was evident with the public support that poured over for him when he couldn’t make it to the semi-finals. People sent across messages, calls, stopped him in the streets – all to tell him that he deserved more.
That visibility, that love, felt like a bigger win than a title.
Isiako first came to Dubai in 2018, returned in 2022, and now calls it home. He describes this chapter as the best era of his life.
Dubai, he says, doesn’t give you an easy life – it gives you a tough one that forces growth. The pace, the opportunities, the constant movement push you to evolve fast.
For music especially, Isiako is clear: Dubai is the place to be.
Post-The Voice, the doors have swung wide open. Isiako is currently working on original music, recording singles, starred in a musical called Once Upon A Time In Dubai, collaborating with several artists, and goes on the list.
The Voice was just one chapter of a beautiful story that’s just getting started.
