An Iranian man has been accused of running a gambling den from his Springs villa.
71 bottles of liquor were found on his property and seven other men were found placing bets in his villa after a raid by Dubai police in April of this year.
The 55-year-old business man has also been charged with possession of liquor without a license.Â
Between the seven men that were found on the premises, (two Lebanese, two Iranians, a Russian, a Dane, and a Norwegian) various amounts of cash ranging from AED 20,000 to AED 150,000 were also seized.
Two other men were also onsite and have been charged with aiding the gambling process.
All ten men have confessed to the crimes and admitted that gambling was taking place in the building.
The trial will reconvene on August 6.
