Recently the East African country, Uganda has been seeing stark political unrest over the arrest of the presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi AKA Bobi Wine, with massive protests breaking out all over the country – leading to deaths, violence, military action and a lump sum of arrests.
According to local Ugandan reports, 49 protestors have been killed in Uganda thus far as a result of army and police operations.
Just three weeks into his campaign for the Ugandan presidency, Bobi Wine (a popstar-turned-politician) has already been arrested twice
He was first arrested just minutes after his official presidency nomination in the capital Kampala.
After his recent arrest in Luuka district, protests erupted all over Ugandan cities and this even led to opposition presidential candidates to stand by Wine’s side, as they suspended their campaigns until he was released.
The people of Luwero have made it unequivocal that they have a duty to remove the dictator they helped create. For them, it has been a story of betray and shattered hope. They are taking the leading role in the struggle for freedom and democracy!

In his mission to unseat Yoweri Kaguta Museven, AKA Tibuhaburwa (President of Uganda since 1986), it is highly likely that Wine will have to battle similar police encounters until the January 2021 poll

The wind of change is moving. This is Nakasongola, Nakaseke and Luwero, the "Mecca" of Mr. Tibuhaburwa. These people have sent an unequivocal message to Mr. Tibuhaburwa, "we supported your rise to power and you duped us, we now want real change."#WeAreRemovingADictator pic.twitter.com/mtZ2dowG1D
