Four people have been confirmed dead, following the crash of a helicopter in the Jais mountain range on Saturday evening.
The four were members of the RAK Search and Rescue and were killed while on duty, aboard the Agusta 139 helicopter.
The crash happened around 5.50pm on Saturday, and the Ruler of RAK, HH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi ordered an immediate investigation into what happened.
And expressed sympathies to the families: “Following are the names: -Pilot Saqr Saeed Mohamed Abdullah AlYamahi -Pilot Hameed Mohamed Obaid AlZa’abi -Navigator Jasim Abdullah Ali Tunaiji -First Aid Man Mark Roxburgh. The National Search and Rescue Center expresses sincere sympathies with the crew’s families.”
