HH Sheikh Mohammed Personally Met To Chat With The Indian Expat Who Sold His Tech Company For Billions

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met with yet another expat-turned-billionaire and commended him on his entrepreneurial efforts.

In a sit-down on Tuesday, HH Sheikh Mohammed met the Founder and CEO of an ad-tech company Media.net, Divyank Turakhia, which sold for more than AED3.3 billion. The company started in the Emirate’s very own Dubai Internet City.

In a Twitter statement, His Highness also lauded Dubai’s prominence for startups and how it has become the ‘Silicon Valley’ of the Middle East.

“Dubai has become the ‘Silicon Valley’ of the Middle East. The prominent role of Dubai Internet City & other specialized zones in the emirate proved vital in creating new economies & nurturing global”entrepreneurs.
