Social media has once again gone into a state of panic after learning that a mystery illness is on the loose – that has already hospitalised nearly 400 people and killed 1.
The unidentified illness was contracted at Eluru in Andhra Pradesh and symptoms include convulsions, seizures, anxiety, fits, epilepsy and neurological symptoms and they are the same across age groups and gender. Furthermore, ALL of the patients hospitalised with these symptoms were tested NEGATIVE for COVID-19.
Nonetheless, a health emergency has been declared in the area as doctors have ruled out all aspects related to SARS-CoV-2. In addition, blood tests performed on the patients also ruled out the possibility of dengue fever, chikungunya and herpes.
Specialized scientists and doctors from all over India have been roped in to detect the cause behind the mystery illness.
Mystery illness in India eh? Can a giant comet just bash through the earth so we can end it quickly rather than deal with another pandemic please?
