HSBC UAE has had its share of dramas with banking outages and a scandal that saw customers double and triple charged on their accounts last year.
And it seems the same has happened on Sunday morning, with HSBC’s banking network down – but customers didn’t receive notification.
And they’re not impressed.
The outage, which has now been resolved, affected all debit card transactions due to a technical glitch… which has happened before.
What a diabolical bank. All debit card transactions being declined this morning due to a ‘technical glitch’. What an utterly shamelessly bad service provider. Do not bank with @HSBC_UAE @HSBC if you actually need to do stuff with money.

PT.2 Filled up with petrol as usual (Stupid time to do it granted) went to pay and my @HSBC_UAE cards didn’t work due to a server outage!! No pre-warning, nothing! Call centre asked me to wait for a couple of hours at the petrol station until the issue was fixed.
