A Liberated Jaguar Attacked Two Zoo Keepers In Al Ain

Avatar

Two zoo keepers at Al Ain Zoo escaped the dangerous jaws of a jaguar on Sunday.

The powerful animal leapt at two keepers after its cage door was left ajar, according to a report in Gulf News.

One of the zookeepers managed to free himself quickly and thanks to the quick action of other zookeepers, the other keeper managed to save himself too.

The incident is under investigation, according to Ghanem Mubarak Al Hajeri, director general of Al Ain Zoo.

Both keepers have been transferred to a nearby hospital.

Jaguar jaws are so powerful they can crush the skull of an animal with one bite – thankfully both keepers escaped with their lives
