Despite having numerous successful hotels to its name, the Jumeirah hotel group is showing no signs of slowing down.
The relatively new chief executive Jose Silva, who took the position in February this year, outlined plans to eventually expand the international luxury hotel and resorts chain in an interview with Gulf News.
Silva also outlined an ‘ultra-luxury’ hotel brand the chain could eventually add to its bow, one similar to the exclusivity of the world’s only seven star hotel, the Burj Al Arab.
With plans to open 15 hotels globally in the next five years alone, including six locations in Europe and six in China and dreams of eventually establishing the brand in the US, it’s a busy time for the state-owned hotel group.
Silva sees global expansion as a crucial factor to gaining further hotel experience.
