Update: 39 People Confirmed Dead In The Horrific Monday Afternoon Kathmandu Plane Crash
39 people have been confirmed dead in the passenger flight which crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, on Monday.
The aircraft, which belongs to US-Bangla Airlines, a privately owned Bangladeshi carrier, crashed as it encountered difficulties during landing.
The plane was approaching a separate landing strip to the one it had permission to land on, according to reports. The reason for this is unknown.

23 people have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment
31 people perished at the site, while 8 others died en route to the hospital
There were 71 passengers on board the plane and an investigation on the crash site is ongoing.
The flight was travelling from Dhaka, Bangladesh and the plane was a Bombardier Dash 8 Q400,
