The ex-UN secretary general, Kofi Annan passed away on Saturday after a short illness, it was announced.
The Ghanaian national, and Nobel Peace Prize winner was 80 years old, and served as the UN secretary general from 1997 until 2006.
The world has paid tribute to his life, and his efforts to create a more peaceful world – and HRH Princess Haya bint Al Hussein, who is Chairperson of International Humanitarian City, released a touching post on Instagram, mourning the leader.
