The British ‘Lamborghini tourist’ who racked up AED175,000 in UAE road fines has arrived back in the UK.
Farah Hashi was caught speeding 33 times on Dubai roads in a rented Lamborghini Huracán.
After a 16-day stalemate, the driver eventually returned the car and reached a settlement fine price of approximately AED120,000 with Dubai Police. However, the car dealership was reportedly asking for further payments to cover the fines amassed by the driver after he kept the Lamborghini for 16 days more than he originally intended.
Five week passed and Hashi paid the fees, with financial help from friends and family, according to BBC News.
His brother Adman, who reportedly flew to Dubai to support his brother and ensure his return home, announced his arrival. “Farah is now home”.
