You know that moment when you’re finally asleep… like deep, peaceful, life-is-good asleep, and then a car roars to life like it’s auditioning for Fast & Furious right outside your window? Yeah… instant rage unlocked.
Dubai Police is rolling out more noise radars across the city, taking another step toward keeping the streets calmer and more comfortable for everyone. The expansion will happen gradually, covering more neighbourhoods as the system grows.

The noise radars aren’t just listening for loud engine revs, they also monitor unnecessary horn honking and cars blasting audio way above acceptable levels. If a vehicle crosses the noise limit, the consequences can stack up fast: fines reaching AED 2,000, 12 black points, and impound-release fees of up to AED 10,000.

This move is part of a wider plan to keep Dubai peaceful, organized, and enjoyable to live in. Authorities say the goal isn’t to hand out fines, it’s to educate drivers about respectful, civil behaviour on the road. Lower noise levels mean better public health, safer communities, and a city that stays comfortable for both residents and visitors.
Dubai Police will continue tracking noisy vehicles through on-ground patrols and smart systems. They’re also rolling out awareness campaigns to help drivers understand how noise pollution affects daily life, from sleep and concentration to overall wellbeing.

The initiative ties into ongoing efforts to keep Dubai clean, safe, and welcoming. Authorities emphasize that keeping the city calm is a shared responsibility, and that everyone plays a role in maintaining Dubai’s standards of civility and community respect.
