This weekend between August 11 -13, Dubai skies will hopefully light up with an impressive meteor shower. 

The Perseid Meteor Shower typically shows 80 meteors per hour but can show up to 100 – 150 meteors hourly on a clear dark night, so fingers crossed this won’t disappoint. 

This is an annual meteor shower that is visible around the world and is known as one of the most reliable shows of the year. 

Join a local astronomy group to watch the show

Dubai Astronomy Group, an amateur astronomy group, is inviting people to join them to discuss the showers in a free for all event on Friday evening and then to view the shower at a soon-to-be-disclosed location for AED 100 on Saturday.
