Former Ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi Has Died Suddenly Following His Own Court Appearance

Mohamed Morsi, the former Egyptian President died suddenly at court on Sunday evening.

Local Egyptian news is reporting the former leader was attending his own trial when he suddenly collapsed. The 67-year-old was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

He held power for one year

Mohamed Morsi was elected President of Egypt in 2013, he was Egypt’s first democratically elected President. He was ousted from his rule in 2013 amid outcry and protests over his rule. Morsi was arrested and has been reportedly held in isolation since.
